the year of the boar

i found out today that 1983
the year of my birth
was on the chinese calendar
the year of the boar

i'm not sure how to feel
or how i should respectfully react to my acquisition of this information
it reminds me of an italian dictionary
gifted to me by my friend, the poet on my 24th year.

so i consult the O.E.D:
boarish- (adj.) of or like a boar; swinish

inclined to neither disgust nor pride
i sit wet-haired and chubby
hapless at my trough

the son of swine

    i am year of the rat...the blastema of which our fate grows screaming from the brush on some trail relevant to one leading off some chinese tradition. me a rat? c'mon, whats that mean!?
